Received her PhD In Psychology from The Hebrew University, Jerusalem. Prof. Freedman trained as a Clinical Psychologist at the Institute Of Psychiatry, Kings College, London, and subsequently retrained as a Social Worker at the Hebrew University. She Is an Assoc Professor in the School Of Social Work, Bar Ilan University.
Her research has concentrated on Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), from its development to its prevention. She worked at the Dept. Of Psychiatry, Hadassah University Hospital, for over twenty years, and established and directed the CBT Center, that provides training in CBT for Mental Health Professionals, and CBT treatment for a range of disorders. Prof. Freedman's current research focuses on the use of Virtual Reality in the treatment of PTSD. |
