Yael Davis, MSW, is a therapist specializing in cognitive behavioral and exposure treatment of adults suffering from depression, PTSD, obsessive compulsive and anxiety disorders. She received her MSW from New York University, and completed her internship with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs , treating American veterans suffering from PTSD, and other mental health disorders. After making Aliyah with her family in 2006, Yael worked as a therapist in a group home for adults, creating personalized behavioral treatment plans with the residents to help improve independence and self-esteem. She also ran group sessions to impart mindfulness and relaxation techniques as a way to increase their coping skills set. After attending the Hadasasah CBT training program and gaining further exposure and knowledge of cognitive behavioral therapy, Yael opened up a private practice that recognizes the important role that mindfulness and relaxation training can have on someone when treating CBT.
